InsideNGO Announces New Director, Global Member Development and Engagement

WASHINGTON – InsideNGO has announced the appointment of Tammy Hettinger as director of global member development and engagement.

Hettinger brings more than 20 years of nonprofit development experience to InsideNGO and has an extensive background in creating networks of support and engagement across a variety of constituencies. Most recently, she was with InsideNGO member organization TechnoServe, where she was the director of the annual fund and development operations since 2013. Her background also includes two years as director of the annual fund and development at the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and four years as the director of development at Children’s Heartlink, a nonprofit based in Minnesota that works worldwide. Earlier in her career, Hettinger served as a development manager for another InsideNGO member organization, The National Democratic Institute (NDI), and as a steering committee member for the Minnesota International NGO Network.

“We are delighted to have Tammy join our team,” said InsideNGO President and Chief Executive Officer Tom Dente. “Her experience with our members and her expertise in development and networked organizations will be a great asset to our community.”

Hettinger holds a M.S. in public policy from University College London, and a B.A. in political science from the University of Minnesota.
