Job Description:

We are seeking a Country Director based in Morocco. The CD manages the field office which offers a diverse portfolio of programs and services, including educational advising and testing services to students and professionals; education abroad programs; and workforce development, English language, and management training programs and courses.  The incumbent will manage staff, office operations, programs, and business development initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  •  A graduate degree in a relevant field: Education, Management, Business Administration,  Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL,) etc.
  • A minimum of 10 years of development and management experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in the Middle Eastern and North Africa region
  • An advanced level of spoken and written proficiency in French

Responsibilities

 

 Direct all of our activity in Morocco including managing of the field office's educational and testing services, an English language program, study abroad programs for students and professionals, and other workforce development and management training projects 

  • Administer, coordinate, and monitor the office’s fiscal affairs in accordance with policies and procedures, including preparation of budgets, and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to HQ  
  •  Manage contract budgets, cash management, foreign exchange, monthly accounting, and ensure compliance with host country laws
  • Lead business development initiatives, including identifying new projects, products, and activities and preparing technical and budget proposals for submission to potential funders/clients
  • Initiate and maintain contacts with US and regional representatives of educational institutions, PVOs, governments, and private sector organizations
  • Participate in public relations and outreach activities and represent the organization at conferences, meetings, and workshops
  • Develop and coordinate personnel policies and procedures in conjunction with the Human Resources Director at HQ
  • Remain current on changes within the industry through publications and continuing education

Requirements
