<p>The Sub-Grants Manager will serve a key oversight and support role related to the administering of sub-grants at WCS.&nbsp; Specifically, it will provide day-to-day oversight of sub-grants management, assisting field and HQ staff in the assessment of partners, drafting sub-grant agreements/amendments and monitoring.&nbsp; &nbsp;The position will be a resource for staff as it relates to compliance issues and questions in connection with donors regulations and sub-grants and should have experience and familiarity with the rules and regulations of both US government, European,&nbsp; as well as with a variety of private and public donors requirements.</p>

<p>This position reports directly to the Director of Grant and Contract Management in the Headquarters Grant and Contracts office (GCO).&nbsp; It will have direct communication with Field and HQ staff that is working with Sub Grantees.</p>



<p>• Review the pre-award due diligence assessment of current and potential partners and analyze organizational capacity to manage sub-grant funding and project implementation for US based sub grantees and work with field staff in the assessment of local in country sub grantees.<br />
• HQ Lead in drafting sub-grant agreements and all sub-grant agreement modifications working directly with appropriate program staff.<br />
• Working with in house counsel to insure all sub grant agreement templates and letters of commitment are current with respect to WCS and donor compliance requirements.<br />
• Draft memos and guidance documents and act as a resource for field staff for all compliance-related issues pertaining to sub-grants.&nbsp;<br />
• Working with field staff ensure sub grant payments in accordance with sub grant agreements.<br />
• Assist field and HQ staff as it relates to all anti-terrorism compliance checks of partners and ensure accurate tracking of all such requests.<br />
• Assist in A-133, Finance and/or Form 990 related to subgrantee information.<br />
• Tracking of sub granting financial and programmatic reporting and ensuring timely receipt by field staff.<br />
• Coordinate with Regional Controllers and/or Finance Directors timely internal review, monitoring and clearance of all financial documentation and reporting associated with sub-grants.<br />
• Maintenance of SAP master data as it relates to Sub Grants and regular maintenance of electronic subgrant files<br />
• Provide analysis of the status on current and closed sub grants, e.g. spending patterns, outstanding reports.<br />
• Work with field office on sub grant close out, e..g documentation, distribution of inventory, retention of intellectual property, audit,&nbsp; etc.&nbsp;<br />
• Perform other duties as determined by the Director of the Grants and Contracts Office.</p>



<p>• Bachelor degree, business, finance or accounting preferred.<br />
• Minimum of 3 years progressive work experience in grant/contract administration with at least one year working on sub grant administration..<br />
• Demonstrated knowledge of grant and contract compliance, with U.S. Government Agencies required.<br />
• Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing,<br />
• Multi lingual (Spanish or French) preferred,.<br />
• Effective “roll up the sleeves” work ethic.<br />
• Strong interpersonal skills, an ability to work well with a wide variety of people in a team setting.<br />
• Solid computer skills with respect to Word, Excel, email and the internet<br />
• Experience with automated financial management systems, SAP preferred.</p>
